A small studio with a big belief: the things you use every day should carry warmth.
Started with a wheel
and a stubborn idea
In 2018, Kiln began as a one-person garage operation. A wheel, a kiln borrowed from a friend, and the conviction that handmade objects matter more than the ones we grab off a shelf.
What started as evening sessions after a day job grew into a full-time studio, a teaching space, and a community of makers who share the same belief: slowing down is not the same as falling behind.
Today, our small team of four produces a rotating collection of functional pottery and teaches workshops for everyone from first-timers to seasoned potters. We're still in Portland. We're still getting our hands dirty.
