Where earth
meets intention
Handcrafted ceramics born from Portland clay. Each piece shaped on the wheel, glazed by hand, and fired with care.
Our Story
Built by hand,
meant to be held
Kiln was founded in 2018 with a simple belief: the things we use every day should carry warmth. A mug should feel right in your hands. A bowl should have weight and purpose.
We work with locally sourced clay and small-batch glazes, firing each piece in our gas kiln. Nothing mass-produced, nothing rushed. Every piece that leaves our studio has been touched by human hands at every stage.

The Process
From clay to table
Every piece follows the same three-step journey, shaped by patience and the unpredictability of fire.
1Wedging
We start by hand-wedging Portland clay to remove air bubbles and create an even, workable consistency.
2Throwing
Each piece is thrown on the wheel, shaped by hand and eye. No molds, no machines — just the potter's touch.
3Glazing
Small-batch glazes mixed in-studio. Each piece is dipped, poured, or brushed by hand before the final firing.
